I recently found a recipe that calls for cubed mango and this little item makes it so much easier to cut the fruit. There isn't as much waste either. Highly recommend it. Not hard to use at all. Just make sure you hold the fruit at the correct angle and push down slowly with the chopper. Pop it in the dishwaher and you are good to go next time!

When I first saw this, I hesitated because I thought it was expensive for a simple slicer - but it was worth it! To be able to cut a mango so that it's not a mess allows you to get the most out of the fruit, as well as saving you cleanup. I've had it for weeks and am a mango lover, so it got plenty of use. For those who had a problem, the secret is to use a ripe, not overripe mango. Like any other fruit, mangos shouldn't be mushy but reasonably firm. The other secret is to read and follow the directions on the package as to where to place the slicer on the mango. It doesn't slice directly down, but on a curve. Let the slicer guide you. So far, every mango I used was sliced perfectly.
