Capresso's Impressa E8 is equipped with all the necessary high-tech features for brewing superb espresso, cappuccino, lattes and long crema coffees in just 60 seconds. The powerful 1450-watt, 18-bar power pump has a ThermoBlock heating system that promises fast, continuous operation at home or business. The easy-to-read LED display (in seven languages) indicates brew strength from mild to normal to strong, and even displays the cup size while the machine is brewing as well as keeping count of how many drinks you have previously made. You can even select whether you want a standard or robust aroma. To use, select whether or not you want one cup or two then select the size of cup you have from one ounce to eight ounces (for two cups, the machine automatically makes double your selected one cup capacity). Beverages are dispensed in either one or both of the height-adjustable, dual coffee spouts. Next, a commercial-grade, solid steel, conical burr grinder (with six fineness settings) grinds from 5 to 15 grams of coffee (there is a separate funnel for already-ground, decaf or flavored coffees). The 8-oz. bean container lets you grind up to 30 portions before refilling it. A two-step pre-infusion cycle moistens and conditions the grounds for maximum flavor and a perfect crema topping. The unit's frother can be used to release hot water for Cafe Americano or a cup of tea, and its hot water function is programmable from 1 to 16 ounces. An eight-digit LED display dialog system gives short, simple instructions like 'ready', 'heating', 'steam ready', 'fill water', and 'clean unit'. Selecting from 'continuous-on' or 'auto-off' from one half-hour to nine hours in one-hour increments ensures the machine stays on as long as needed.

Rating - Fantastic Machine for the Money
This is a machine for a museum of fine coffee makers. It is unreal how easy it is to use and how consistent it is in delivering some of the best espresso I have ever had. Swiss made precision makes the inner workings just smooth and stable. It grinds and delivers quiet nicely. I have had many machine before this one mostly Semi-Automatics and this being my first Super-Automatic I will never go back and Jura has got a customer for life. I recently received my refurb E8 and could not be more impressed.
The unit arrived within 48 hours of order from Amazon reseller Kitchen Kapers. Other than the box and a sticker on the back, this appeared to be a new unit in every way. I was concerened when I saw another reviewer received a machine with 3,000 cups on the odometer. Mine had 120 cups under its belt which, to me, is barely broken in.
The unit itself looks great. Set-up was fairly easy and the controls and menus are well laid out.

Rating - the machine that changed my latte life
This is the 3rd espresso machine that I've had and my first fully automatic. Prior to this purchase, I believed that fully automatics were financially out of my reach. The E8 grinds, tamps, brews the exact amount of espresso that I want using the perfect pressure and a gauge to set the number of ounces I want to brew, lightly cleans itself with daily use, and tells me when I need to add water or dispose of used espresso pucks.
