Nice to get up in the morning with fresh ground, fresh brewed coffee. Only thing: you can use this baby for a morning alarm. When it grinds, it is loud! But doesn't last long, so you don't have to wonder who's breaking into your house for long. Also, it was indistinct about the gold filter. You don't have to order one to go along with the coffeemaker. It comes with it. This was a good buy ($76+) and is worth waiting for it to go on sale. Rating - i like it after reading your reviews i must add mine... i like it. it does sound like an air craft carrier when grinding and the steam does encourage cleaning of the coffee changer regularly but is good no? i actually bought a white cuisenart coffeemaker/grinder and decided i wanted black instead so i have two grinding chambers to switch off with...therefore, is no problem for moi! the final product is a great cup of coffee...measure the coffee...one tablespoon for two cups...measure the water...final product will please. Rating - Wonderful product, awkward to clean. This coffee maker is wonderful. It grinds the coffee beans then brews the coffee all by itself. With the thermal carafe you don't have to worry about burnt coffee like on a hotplate. It is a little loud when it grinds the beans, but that is to be expected.
